Application Monitoring

Overview

An application End-to-End View is a visual representation that gives executives a quick and easy way to view their application’s performance in real-time. Application End-to-End View is a powerful tool for executives because it summarizes complex information and present it in an easily digestible way. This document is being made with respect to the 4.11.0 #32.

Features

Application End-to-End View provides insight into:

  1. A single view for monitoring application performance
  2. Real user experience
  3. Database performance
  4. Respond to events and alerts.

Getting Started

  1. Open web browser and provide the product URL. The Cavisson login window is displayed.

2. Enter your Username and password, then click the “Sign-in” button to access the Dashboard Home page.

3. Click on End-to-End tab, and the End-to-End home page is displayed.

The APM Application End-to-End View window is displayed as shown in Figure 3, which represents the application flow map. The details of Flow maps and other features of Application Performance Monitoring End-to-End View are described in this section.

Layout

The layout of the Application End-to-End View consists of following options:

  • Flow map of tiers and integration points.
  • Options for flow map management (edit, save, layout, etc.).
  • Right pane that consists of various details of tier, such as Alerts, Business Health, Server Health, Integration Point Health, and Transaction Scorecard.

Legend: The details and various information about the components in Application End-to-End View are explained in the Legend option. Clicking Legend displays the window as shown in Figure 6

This window provides information about how to identify the tiers, nodes, integration points, and others. The window contains different color codes for the alerts, logos for the technology agents, and integration points.
